Maybe somebody who works for a mobile phone company could help me out here, I've spent nearly a month away recently in Romania, Eygypt and passing through Amsterdam and not once have i been able to send a text, i can recieve them and am able to phone out but my message always fail.

I rang to make sure my phone was set up for abroad and must have rang up at least 6 times while in Romania and told nothing is wrong or put on hold at 40p a min and 1.50 a min in Egypt

Rang again before i went last week to see if it was working and told it was but as soon as i left England it wouldnt work, i spent a fortune on calls while away. I've just had a ding dong with a bloke who in a nutshell said its fook all to do with T mobile and tough luck buster and they have nothing to do with using your phone abroad but the cheeky chunts were texting me offering me text and call bundles abroad.

Have i any leg to stand on for cancelling my contract ?

Having done my Hartlepool "National Service" at Garlands i know from experience at vodafone that trying to cancel your contract if you have signed up for say 18months is a nightmare and you will have to pay the line rental in full before doing so.

I have experienced difficulties when trying to send texts using the long dial code, i.e. 0044 etc for the uk, for some reason the +44 etc representation works.

you have a good enough case to get the cost of your calls back - they will have record (should) have record of your calls to them and if you tried to send sms they should also have record of this on their servers - push it as far as you can - you'll get your coin back - there should be no need to enter +44 to send or receive as the number gets picked up tmobiles roaming partner in the countries that you were in and converted.
