Without looking, how many Preciousship teams do you reckon have played a greater number of competitive games than Pools this season?
I say this because ONCE AGAIN last night I had to put pubfans right who reckon their league should be shrunk even further due to the overwhelming number of games played.

Burnley are right up there with the Eurotoffs on 60. But apart from them, in the whole of the FL and Premiershite you can count maybe three or four other clubs who've played more than Pools' 55 competitive matches. I've only looked at whom I consider likely candidates - I admit I can't be arsed to look at all 92!
In 2004/2005 we played a staggering 60 games, and eight full-strength pre-season games to boot. And that's with about a third of the playing staff of Manual Chelverpool.
But I didn't argue with the pubfans against reducing the size of the Premiership; on the contrary, I advocated going the whole hog and reducing it to four teams.
