He brought in Nardiello who contributed greatly to keeping us up.
He played Sweens back in midfield which probably helped.
He brought in a left back to add competition and free Ritchie to come on in midfield when required and do a job.
It seems he had no choice in bringing in a new goaly, but eventually played the slightly better of the 2 - lesser of 2 evils.
He seems to have the clubs best interest at heart.
He is a good interface between Kevin Hovercraft and the team/club setup which is definately required with OIS and there style of running the club.
Twting Wilson was applying for other jobs whilst here. Allegedly
He talks to fans which everyone wanted.

And apart from managing us during a few embarassing performances and a very close run relegation battle (yes it is a big - apart from) I dont think he deserves the slagging off he gets.
I would like to see him back as director off sport.

- Discuss bbolt

I think you're absolutely right. Some people on here forget that 10 years ago, he saved this Club from going out of the Football League, we could have ended up like Scarborough, instead, he took us to our first three consecutive play-offs in our history - a record to be proud of for any manager. Before leaving for Sheff Wed, he laid the foundations for our third promotion.

I never thought Chris Turner would return after he left. Then he became Director of Sport. Now 10 years on, he has came back and helped the club stave off immediate relegation for only a second time in 10 years. History will show that he was the manager that day we famously knocked Stoke City out of the FA Cup in 2009.

People must remember that he was not our manager in 2009. He (Wilson) got the sack. Turner was a caretaker manager and hid did his job to take care of the Club during difficult times.

Before he came back, Chris Turner was a HUFC legend in my eyes. What he has helped to us to do this year only reaffirms his legendary status in the history of the Club.

I do hope he stays on as DoS.

Chris Turner's record when allowed to bring in players: W82 L64 D48
Chris Turner's record when working on a shoestring: shite
Chip's managerial record: indeterminate

Yes I know we once had a manager who worked wonders on next to bugger all and brought big crowds in. So go ahead and find another one; the league is swarming with them. And don't quote me Dave Penney. He has always been given funding.

Seeing as though he has just been made Oldham boss, I would say 1,000,000,000,000/1.

Wasnt Wilson still in charge for the Stoke game ?
I also thought it was Wilson in charge when ALB got the first 3 game suspension

I know ALB was banned after the Fleetwood Cup game because somebody spotted him on the video that ITV had and suspended him then. rage
