We knew we were safe because of the Leeds result, so it was a massive relief when the final whistle went.

When the players came over to the Pools fans, I couldn't applaud them. I didn't even want to look at them. It was an absolutely disgraceful performance when we really needed them to dig in.

I can understand conceding early on, it happens. But to let it happen a minute later is shocking. To allow it at the start of the second half is inexcusable, and is standing still yet again for their fourth not long after.

They really did their best to get us relegated yesterday. Thankfully the fixture list was kind to us, and for once I cheered the Leeds result. If we had an entirely new starting 11 next year I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest.

To be honest I didn't applaud the players or look at them.

The only thing that made me proud was our support.

We knew Leeds were 2 up late on, however it looked very feasible that we could concede another at any time.

Did you go to the game? If you did surely you can understand how tense it was? We did not deserve to be put through that.

We gave Rovers so much space, every time they went forward we looked like we'd concede.

It could have easily ended up 6-1.

... but that's with the benefit of 20:20 hindsight. When we needed Mr 'Resolute and Determined' to turn up, we got Mr 'Couldn't be Arsed' instead.

Sentiments I would agree with. Up until the last 15 minutes or so it still was in doubt. They couldn,t have put in a more inept performance in the circumstances if they had tried.
