I understand people wanting a new manager, I do too, but I am staggered by this sudden spiteful animosity towards Chris Turner. What the hell is it all about, he hasn't done well this season, who would have?

He is a top bloke who has done some great work at the club, as a manager, and as an ambassador and indeed as a gentleman.

All of this vitriol is un-called for !!

Time to move on maybe, but 'f**k off' is nasty, and unnecessary !!!

what i don't understand is lots of people on here say that as long as people try their best then they wont get slagged off, even if they arent good enough.

Well here you have Turner who's record this season is a bit pants to say the least. Yet you can see he is giving his all in trying to get the right players into the club, really busting a gut to try and build bridges with the fans again in order to turn it around.

And all he gets is disgusting abuse. It's shameful, it really is.

he's trying his best to sort the team out.
He's brough Budzt back into the team, he's took Humps out for Skarz, he's brought in Nardiello who is quality and dropped Foley.
With Boyd coming back and Dimi possibly.

Send Turner back upstairs but get a decent manager running the team.

Turner doesn't deserve the level of criticism being levelled at him. The players are the ones to blame. This has been coming since December 2007.

His should be judged on next season not this.

clappp clappp
Some fooking sense at last.
Jesus wept. Turner took over a team that looked like it was going down, and managed to keep us up, which is all that mattered this season, now it looks like he's going to be bringing players in and let's judge him off next season.
If we finish with 50 points next season, give him the boot.

CT is a useless manager regardless of what he is like as a person, he has proved it at the clubs he has been to. Get rid now before he takes us down. A good PR man but no more than that.

And yes, i do want him to welcome to the board

Apart from when he was at Pools first time round, obviously

He has still never won anything. We need a winner not a loser. He must have the worst CV of any manager in the football league.

doesn't matter if he hasn't won anything, he transformed us from an awful team with no hope, to one of the most attractive footballing teams in the bottom divisions. We used to play some fantastic football. Hasn't been able to replicate it since though. Whether he can do it again or not is debatable

Well said Bresslaw.

I am happy for Turner to be manager next season. As long as I see huge list of this seasons players signing on the dole next week.

But he may well go and replace them with similar standard players!

If the three names so far mentioned are anything to go by they totally will not be of a similar standard.

i dont want turner in charge next season, but danny wilson seems to be getting off very lightly here.

how many of the players he signed played well this season ?

he was also the one that took us into the campaign with the most lop sided squad in the clubs history.

turner didnt do much to arrest the slide but he was handed a pretty shitty task, and at least he was prepared to discuss the mess, unlike wilson, who treat the fans with utter contempt.

Got to agree on this, all getting out of hand now and has to calm down a bit.

As some have said let Chris Turner be judged on his squad next season.

I personally think he will get that chance and hope he can sort things during the summer.

I see the ususal suspects have emerged to give us their usual negative view of things. They continue to accentuate the negative and eliminate the positive and dwell in a world where the ability to see the worst in everything related to the club is viewed in the most negative of terms.
Ever considered 'supporting' Darlow, with their problems, your trips to the message board would be one continuous orgasm of disappointment, pig heaven daily ....

Er, no it isn't.... but, the constant negative sniping that some posters indulge in regardless of who is in the managerial seat gets you thinking do they they just whinge for the sake of it, ... regardless? I can take criticism from posters with a reasoned argument, prepared to debate the problems we face, but they don't, do they, they just snipe , whine, chunter and abuse.

I can't, because to me it's a clean sheet again. I want to see who he signs and how 'his' team perform as opposed to Wilsons buys, which was like herding cats, getting them to play.
I'll wait and see and give him till November, like I do with all the managers (except Scotty).
I see no point whatsoever in slagging off the pilot when the plane's taxiing on the runway for take off...you may be in for the flight of your life or the fright of your life, but no good adding to the odds against you is their?
