yep so we escaped, luckily due to Joel Porters fantastic season, however the following players deserve NO praise whatsoever

Jan Butdz
Arran Lee Barrett
Richie Humphreys
Michael Nelson
Sam Collins

Their entire season has been disgraceful, they deserve an immediate wage cut and probably even booting out of the club for sheer lack of competence.

Be angry but also be thankful we got that point.
Thankful to who I couldn't tell you like.

Nelse has been poor at times but I think we need to keep him as he has proved his worth in the past unlike Collins. For me Collins should hope for a contract at Gateshead at best next season he really is poor.
Ritchie is good enough for this club, he has ability and did a ok job at left back for severaly years while never looking like a permanent solution. The management is at fault for not solving that problem and Ritchie's taken the stick for that. He's been playing out of position as have, I'm convinced Budtz and Barrett.

Oh i agree that Nelse & humphreys probably are good enough to be given a 2nd (3rd, 4th?) chance, but questions need to be made about their competence. we need a MINIMUM of 8 new players (7 actually because we have Boyd now)
and they need to be 7 bloody good, determined, gutsy players.

It's really quite simple. confised

We need a League 1 back five instead of a League 2 back five trying to compete at a higher level and failing.

you missed oiut Gary Liddle, who has been by far the worst player all season. In fact for 2 seasons - totally useless in every aspect of the game

I don't think the League Table is a true refelection of ability this year. We finished level on points with Stockport and they were play-off contenders at onetime before they had poinst deducted. Teams like Stockport, Carlisle, Crewe (famous or producing good players), Northampton were mid-tabl before they fell down Contrast that with Brighto who were bad all year finishing 16th, we beat Peterborough, who were poor then and are now going up. Millwall looked average when we played them away and made the play-offs - they looked a one-man team when we were 2-0 up against Millwall at home.
Scunthorpe should have struggled, but they took a play-off place from Tranmere who were not very exciting all season and finished seven.

A topsy-turvy division! sctatchinghead

I am sorry but how can you say a full season league table isn’t a true reflection of the teams in that division. We were down there with the others as we deserved to be just the same as Leicester Peterborough etc were at the top, they were good and we (well our defense) was rubbish.

The table doesnt lie but you are judging teams Millwall, Scunthorpe based on maybe once or twice you saw them play us. Take your blinkers off

we dont see eye to eye on lots of things, but this is pretty much all that needs to be said about the last 2 seasons. concise and hits the nail right on the head. clappp clappp clappp

if a bloke in china can see it, very worrying that the last 2 managers couldnt. sadx

agree completely, however Turner HAS seen it, just waited til the summer to do a lot about it, i have faith
