If you said to me a couple of weeks ago Pools could potentially finish 15th I would of laughed at you but hey why not.

Lets start with a win at Bristol, Colchester to beat Yeovil and Peterbrough to beat Swindon.

Anyone else think that from our rubbish displays this season 15th would be a good result

You can't always get what you want, ADG.

Unfortunately it hasn't helped having loads of injuries, bad referrees and League One being a topsy-turvy division, compare that with season which had...loads of injuries, bad referrees and League One being a topsy-turvy division.

But through the Cup wins against Premier League teams, we've made national and international headlines.

And of course, a recession hasn't helped the celebrations either.

This season and last season have been two of the most frustrating seasons I have ever seen in the short time I've been watching 'Pools.

Can you name any other side that beat two Premiership sides in one season ?

It's an indication that we've got a good bunch of players that, on their day when they perform, can do something special.

There's a very thin possibility of that happening tomorrow. It would have a complete disaster tomorrow for us to go down. I think that we've passed too many psychological barriers and milestones to get relegated. There are many more teams below us, who have been worse than 'Pools this season.

How about off the top of my head BARNSLEY (and probably more)

2007/08 season knocked out LIVERPOOL (5th round) at Anfield 2-1 then Chelsea( quarter final) 1-0 at their place, In the FA Cup

it is a silly question it probably be done many times.

Well, there you go - and people think that this season has been a complete and utter disaster.

I tell you what, Turner deserves to be given a big, big thank you in my opinion by the fans if he probably keeps us up tomorrow. For him to come the Club and save us from relegation out of the League ten years ago, when this club didn't really amount to much before he took us to the play-offs three years in a row after being relegation candidates, laying the foundations for our third promotion etc. And now coming back in 2009, not only saving the club from relegation again probably and being manager on what will go down as the historic day when we knocked Premier Legue Stoke City of the 3rd Round of the Cup, that takes a lot.

I think we should not be extremely grateful to Joel Porter tomorrow after the game, if he travels to accept our appreciation but we should be showing our appreciation to Chris Turner tomorrow, after all this is probably the last time he's going to manage a first team game.

Mind you, we thought that when he left for Sheff Wed and look what happened.

Who knows what might happen in the summer ?

I agree with ADG, Turner has won 7 games in 27 as manager this time round. I said at the time his record since leaving Pools for Sheff Wed he had a win ratio of 1 in 4 any other thing except a win tomorrow means he has maintained that win ratio. POK that is not good enough. I dont doubt what he did 1st time around but to use that as an argument for showing appreciation is like ADG says like having a "head full of frogs"

Quick edit What happened to the post from ADG, or did I dream it.

Well I don't think you can compare Turner's first reign and his second as a caretaker, because there are different factors which affected in my mind, how those have turned out. In 1999, when IOR came in, Turner had the ability to get new good players in, the Club's finances were OK because they'd only just replaced the old regime under Harold Hornsey, Turner was a fresh manger with new ideas compared to Mick Tait, we were in Division Three for three years and put together a passing football side for all that time.

Turner has taken over ten years later after a manager who had a different footballing philosophy and pedigree in Danny Wilson, we'd spent two years in a division that was topsy, turvy, we had loads of injuries, referring decisions haven't gone our way and the finances of IOR have been shaped by the biggest financial crisis of the 20th Century.

I acknowledge there have been some bad performances but most of the time, the overall feeling that people have had coming out of the game has been "How did we lose that?" - like MK Dons away, Orient away and Millwall at home.

I am slowly beginning to believe it! I really cannot take much more to be honest.

Listen and understand. PoK is out there. He can't be bargained with, he can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and he absolutely will not stop talking bollocks. Ever. Until you are dead.
