I dont want to sound like PoK but did anyone watch it, I had a few last night and was flicking through the channels and started to watch it. One bloke I think in the shadow cabinet was on about 2nd jobs for MP's Frank skinner asked him bluntly do you have a second job.

"Yes I do I am non-executive company director" get this he earns 24k a year from this job for 12days a week, utter shocking considering he gets 65k for being an mp and all the other money he can cream of the gravy tray. Oh and his excuse for the job he wants to get real economic experience for when the conservatives are in government, dont make me laugh

Yes, I saw it. Frank Skinner made a valid point - when we elect an MP we expect him to be a very busy man and devote all of his energies into looking after his constituency. They make plenty of money out of being an MP anyway, what with expense claims, spouses salary, etc. so they shouldn't really need yet another source of income.

It seems a lot of MP's disagree and they would rather look after themselves instead. Self-centred, greedy barstewards that they are

Also I love the comment from the member of the audience stating that if anyone else was found gaining expenses from work they couldn’t account for would be sacked.

But there lies the problem none of these MP's are breaking rules were there whole thing stinks is that THEY made the rules in the first place so they could con as much money out of the system as possible. Its simple no second jobs and everything that is expensed a receipt must be provided and have a legitimate reason for it.
