I can't get over how much Idiot Savant remind me of these. And believe me that's a huge compliment coming from me.

It didn't remind me of Idiot Savant so much as someone else.
I'll tell you when I remember.....

Well that was just one example but if you look at the whole of the VDGG oeuvre there are resemblances with Idiot Savant all over the place. You have to imagine the Brass section replaced with a first mind.
To be clear, I'm not accusing them of copying, just of accidentally sounding a bit like somebeody who is really good.

Speaking of local bands anyone else heard the Lurios think they are from Stockton, fairly decent in my opinion.
