My mate a Torquay fan says Nardiello's dad was part of a Torquay strike force with Paul Dobson (who is still well loved down there), any one know if this is correct?

Obviously his dad, he's not going to be able to manage england u18's is he and play for pools?

He's only young he'd have no managerial experience at all, it would be a crazy appointment.

Listen, Dan Nardiello is going to be a MASSIVE player for Pools. Mark my words.
we have no chance of permanently signing someone of his quality. The likes of oldham, huddersfield etc will nick him off us because they can offer more money...

the truth is at league one level he is class and there will be a lot of clubs at our level sniffing around if he is available on a free. Many of which will be able to pay more wages than us. That said i would love it if we got him, i just dont think we will.

Nardiello has performed far better away from home than he has at the Vic. It wouldn't surprise me if there are still some idiots slagging him off on Saturday.

He was busting a gut on Saturday, he was either doing that because he cares and wants the club to stay up or he is playing for a contract next season. Either will do me.

Is he available on a free though?

You're ruling out us signing him because other teams might want to sign him, some of these teams probably haven't even seen him play recently and it's not like his scoring record is amazing. I think he is a signing well within our grasp and given that he has shown indication he would like to sign I can't understand why you're ruling him out.

because he is a quality player at this level. How many times have we beaten other teams to a players signature in this division? Duffy turned us down as did betsy, shuker, windass etc etc as there are a lot more attractive clubs than us with more financial clout. If i were one of the top ten clubs in our division i would be looking to sign him because he has proved himself in this division before. .
