What is that now? 23 or 24 goals? A magnificent achievement in a poor team. I salute you sir!

Just think how his career could have went if not for injuries.

I sort of feel sorry for him that he has wasted years at Pools when he could have made more of his career

He is a legend and I wish he was staying. I know it is a 'what if' but imagine if he spent a full season fit alongside Brown

He would be in my all time Pools XI. Like everyone else I will be sad if this is his last season here but I wish him well for the future.

Top bloke.

I think it will only be next season when we will really understand what a quality player he is.

If you look at the history of Pools, we have only played 9 seasons outside the bottom division.

Porter has played in 5 of those seasons, and has been outstanding. He has been one of the best performers at the highest level we've played at.

His partnership with Boyd is an unbeatable pairing for Pools in my opinion.

Yeah good point. Loads of revered strikers at Pools, but he's cut it at the top level we've played at. With who do we replace him? he did look good today.

Next season team will look very different. Any one fancy a strike force of Brown and Lange?

I do.

Unless Chip can convince Nardiello to sign? Go get him chip.

Nardiello sounded as if he was making himself available , in a recent interview on the Pools website

If we are all going to dress as Aussies, shouldn't we dress are barmen or in Mcdonalds uniforms?

I have criticised Monky a few times and he is far from my favourite player but even he showed a great bit of passion yesterday which is uncommon for him. When the players went off at half time and the away end were singing he turned to everyone and raised his fist with a show of grit and determination.

The players were all there for each other yesterday and they have showed they do have spines.

I dont understand how some people think Monky does not show passion at games. i appreciate that he has looked disinterested in the past on occasion but lately he has been putting himself about quite a bit.

Monkhouse's attitude can not be questioned since Wilson got the tin tack, I've never seen him as 'up for it' as he was second half against Scunthorpe. He's had a pretty good season, he's one of the few who can even stake a claim to challenge Joel for POTY the other probably being Sweeney.

If Joel doesn't win player of the year by the way, the supporters should be banned from ever voting on it again.
