We stayed at the Tropicana Club Azure in the Nabqa Bay area about 15mins from the airport and 20mins from Naama Bay, we went with Thompsons who are also First Choice now, all of the other Hotels we dropped off at looked superb as well. Just out of interest, our All Inclusive package included.

All your meals, brekkie, dinner and evening meal in the main restaraunt (lush, never ending hot and cold buffet), 1 evening meal at each of the 2 al a carte restaraunts (Italian or Chinese), snacks from the pool bar between 10am and 5pm (fries, hot dogs, pizzas, salad, danish pastries AND proper, cooked fresh KEBAB).

Soft drinks, tea and coffee all day till midnight.

Local alcoholic drinks from lobby bar, pool bar and restaraunt from 10am til midnight. (Lager, wine, vodka, brandy, whisky, white rum and dark rum).

Towels for the pool or beach.

Air con.

Safe.

Free sunbeds and windbreak on the beach.

Snacks and drinks (as per pool bar) on the beach.

Use of the small aquapark in the hotel across the road.

Like I said in the last post, you could easily go there without a penny but those early small tips for the waiters really makes it even better for you.

A taxi from where we were to Naama Bay cost us around 20 English pounds each way, not bad between 4 of us.

If you need, snorkels or 'coral' shoes, flippers etc, buy them from one of the little 24/7 supermarkets dotted about, they are just about the only shops that have set prices and although nowhere is really expensive, it just saves you fannying about haggling with them.

We are just about to book up to go back to the Hotel over the road , Tropicana Grand Azure, in November, it's just a little bit plusher and more importantly, the 'free' bar is available til 2am. clappp

I stayed at The Rehana Beach Royal a couple of months ago.

In all honesty I wasn't fussed by Egypt and wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

Our hotel was 5 star all inclusive but their idea of 5 star is different to ours. The food took some getting used to and the entertainment was piss poor. The staff are unbelievably friendly though and they love the English (well, they hate the Russians so prefer everyone else). Tip them on your first day and you'll never have to go to the bar again for the rest of your stay.

Nehma Bay is dodgy. Very commercialised and you get nothing but hassle. The bars are decent enough but when you've paid a load of money to go all inclusive you don't want to be spanking money up the wall down there.

Snorkelling was excellent and a couple that we went there with had been quad biking and they said that was absolutely brilliant so definitely consider that. Weather was gorgeous too.

If you've got a decent hotel then you'll have a great time. Enjoy!

Spend a bit more and go to Cyprus, Southern Cyprus

That is the only advice me and Alan Whicker will broach on this subject
