Well done lads! We made it hard for ourselves as usual but we got there.

Defence still a shambles but Porter and Sweeney outstanding. Shame he couldnt get his hat trick mind.

clappp

That 4th goal was class! they both linked up brilliantly. I would happily see us pair them two up front

Half time with Mrs Stelling's lad was a bit fraught hearing that Pools had twice been in the lead but was delighted with the news of the 4-2 win at full time.

The event was spoilt only by her who supports some daft team she calls the Blades (gloating at the time with a 2-0 lead over Ipswich) when she suggested that our own Jeff Stelling dyes his hair.

Ridiculous suggestion.

Is it Crewe next week?

I've been critical of Sweeneys midfield performances in the past but he has done very well in the last couple of games. he seems to have his energy back. his touch and awareness also seem to be improving, long may it continue.....

This is a huge win but still a lot of work to do. Lets hope we can keep it going. Well done lads.

Huge win. At 2-2 I was resigned to going down, I really was. Still nowhere nesar out of the woods, but those late goals were massive.

Agreed, Sweeney and Porter were superb. Our two best players of the season showed up when it really mattered. Bring on Crewe

As was Monkhouse.

Strange that the players doing their best to get us out of the mire, are our own favourites, and not those on loan from higher divisions.

On saying that, foooookin hell, our back four must be the poorest we have had for centuries.

I thought monky was a bit quiet yesterday, compared to usual anyway. Porter and Sweeney won us the game imo, the rest were average at best

Yeah, I was hoping someone with a good view of it would come on and post a theory about that goal. Everyone just seemed to stop playing, and then the ball was in the net???

Our defence looks terrified every time somebody runs at them - if the little fella up front for them had run at us a bit more the result could have been different, but thankfully we came through with a win.

The confidence of our defenders is obviously shot - we just have to try to get through the rest of the season and scramble a few points. Then we have to think about bringing some decent defenders in before next season. This lad Worley from Leicester sounds ok but a bit young at 20 maybe...Skarz looked ok but wasn't really tested while he was on.

I thought because the lad shaped to shoot outside the box we just switched off, so when the miss hit shot landed at Brandy's feet he was completely unmarked to turn and tuck it away. I don't think we stepped out to play offside we just switched off.

A terrible soft goal, yet again.

Sounds like pretty much like most other goals I've seen scored against us this season.
