To actually be going to Leicester now on a Bosman , Nelson would have had to talk to them.

As Leicester are in the same association as Hartlepool , that is not allowed, though he can talk to them once out of contract with Pools.

Under Bosman you can only talk to and agree pre contract if the team are in another association. Or in english a different country. Celtic in Scotland for example would be allowed. Cardiff although in Wales wouldnt as they play in the English League.

Peter Hartley was born in Hartlepool , currently on Sunderland's book's was on loan at Chesterfield at the back end of last season. He bout 20/21 years old. Has a squad number for this season at Sunderland.Joined them as a trainee.

this could be a good thing in some regards, in the long term. get shot of some of the dead wood in the squad. however, i would be sceptical as Nelse seems to have found his feet again and is playing well.

i wonder if this has owt to do with him going to leicester.

again he has been a decent performer of late, but nelson in the championship...

think this could be a nother dimi looking to drop down again.

Peter Hartley is a youngster who has come through Sunderland's academy. He is a Hartlepool lad and quite a good player. I think he went on loan to Chesterfield last season.
But there is no way the club should be thinking of letting Nelson go, we should be doing everything we can to keep the likes of Nelson

I can see a negative goal difference, even though we score goals. How may of those games has Nelson been involved in??

Oh aye, all of 'em......

Players of Nelson quality we should be keeping but seen as IOR have a thing for letting contracts run down its no surprise. If he does go it will be a massive wage saved and if we scout right we can get another player in for a fraction of his wage no doubt. Just like we did with Nelson back in 04 or whenever it was.

The Welsh FA may well deal with discipline, but under FIFA rules players can only talk to clubs within the last 6 months of their contracts to teams from another association. Cardiff play in the English League, therefore the point I made is correct. I dont mention discipline.

Merthyr Tydfill, Swansea , Wrexham,Newport County, and Colwyn, also play in the English League, the same FIFA rules apply to them.

Nelson in the Championship :) :)

His lack of pace and woeful passing would be even more evident. Plus dont Leicester have two quality centre backs?
