think you have missed the boat a bit there like myspace was all the rage about 4 years ago.

I never see the point of doing anything that's going to lose credibility in only 4 years!

wasn't stating lost credibility just the fact that more people are on facebook now

They'd have to come down the pub. Then we could give them a punch on the nose!

Yeah, Twitter is superb: "I'm going for a shite so I'll just update my Twitter page".

So I hear. At this point, it's surely degenerated into mental illness?

Thanks Chipper, will do.
Must admit, I wasn't sure many people would be able to help but I knew you were on there and hoped you would.
The Myspace site is for my novel coming out really. I had one before but hardly ever used it. But my site is mentioned at the end of the book and its a way of people getting in touch with me if they want to when they've read the novel. I'll have a blog on there and will put a video on there too once its done. My thoughts are that myspace is more professional and facebook is more social/personal. I have something to sell so its good for that.
I use facebook too and there are 30 odd people confirmed on the event I set up for my book launch. Its definitely helpful for that.
Whether they're around in four years or not is kind of irrelevant but I think they will be. And they will prove useful for the time being - plus they're easier than setting up your own website
