Just back in from tonight, pretty poor game played on possibly the worst pitch in the football league.

Defended well first half and did what we needed and also a chance to nick something.

Great start to the second and how we didnt score ill never know, 5 attempts in a goal mouth scrmable followed by a couple of half chances then Stockport took their turn to lay seige to our goal and after 4 corners they got a throw in which was cross to far post and slotted home. Second goal came from our corner as they broke and won their own which we cleared to the edge and their player had all day to pick his spot with a cracking strike. Our goal was a great finish from Mackay and if there was another ten minutes we would have most likley grabbed another.

Few thoughts on the game is that we let them have way to much time on the ball and they stroked it around for fun, only when Mackay came on did we look like bothering their defence into hurrying up. Shame really as they were there for the taking as anytime wwe got the ball down the side of them they looked sh*te.

Parker did well in the second half and held the ball up very well and was good when running at people, final ball was still lacking but progress is being made with him. Joel nearly scored a goal of the season contender with a glorious first touch and spin but couldnt get enough on the shot.

Foley and Liddle were both a waste of a shirt tonight and Mackay looked a class above them when he came on. Richie Jones cant come back soon enough.

Clark had a poor game passing wise, due to the pitch i would imagine but grafted hard just wasnt to be his night. Sweeney didnt have the best of times near the end, had a few very good chances to get the ball under and put in some crosses from dangerous areas but each time his touch let him down, did well defensivley again.

No one really stood out as having a good game if im honest, plenty of graft from most but any real abilty was lacking over a sustained period.

Well done to Mackay though who came on and when he did we looked alot better and took his goal brilliantly
