For a number of years now I've been longing for the day that saw the final demise of the Loids.

But I'm mellowing a little bit as I read the threads on Darlo Uncovered, feeling a tinge of sympathy for the genuine Loids, and their hopes for their club.

So it's a little ironic (if this is the correct use of the term) that the thread below was started by one of the fans I've learned to dislike over the years, and who have fed my desire for their club to cease to exist.

I think that post is a disgrace. If we end up in the shit I trust our fans are more up for the battle than that poster.

He cant be a proper fan, he isnt sufering. the more genuine fans are. And they dont want their club to fold.

This makes good reading though. Winter has it spot on.

This quote of his intrigues me:

"Many of you have experienced it before as I did in 1986 with Boro. I only hope that your own Steve Gibson is lurking in the shadows: A successful businessman who knows the town, its people and who cares for the future of the club."

Is he really suggesting that Steve Gibson is going to sell up at boro to take over at the loids? As far as im aware he is not allowed to have a stake in more than 1 team.

Sounds as though he means a Steve Gibson equivalent, not the man himself.

Ahhhh, when he said "your own Steve Gibson" I thought that maybe he was originally from Darlo or something and he was hinting about him taking over. What a numbnuts I am :uhoh:
