Well done to the lad last night. Yes the goal was awful, and his kicking was his usual shite, but he is sticking to his guns, and seems to be gaining a bit of confidence, and it was GREAT to see run over to the town end at the end, and applaud the fans and really look like he is part of it.

Oh, and did you see him celebrate the Clark penner?

Well done son, keep it up. clappp

he is certainly coming for crosses a hell of a lot more, he claimed the ball from a lot more situations than he has been all season (barring the goal where ironically he would have been better served staying on his line as it turned out)!!!
Having said that, he claimed a lot of high balls at Swindon and Colchester and his handling was safe in those games as well

I wouldn't blame him for the goal, it was a header from miles out that the wind got hold of, I don't see what he could have done about it? Bit of a freak goal really.

that's what I was getting at in a roundabout way - the ball was in an area he couldn't really come for it and even though he was only a foot off his line, considering where the ball went (spinning and looping high into the top corner) the only chance of remotely getting near it would have been to have stood on the line!! It was a bit of an ironic comment...........
PS I'm definitely not blaming him for that!!

Turner was screaming at the defence to hold the line for that free-kick - we didn't and let them drift inside the box and the lad got the header just outside the six yard box. It was a lucky header but we should have defended it better.
