from the thread regarding buying darlo with lottery money my point is this if you were a mulit millionaire would you buy pools. I love the club but would have to say no (i know its never going to happen) i would invest heavily in the club but wouldnt want my neck on the block as I would just want the best interests of the club ie staying a float etc, this would in turn cause a lot of flack re not bringing in players (sort of the stick IOR get from some who dont have a clue)

Just thought i would ask

if anyone had, let's say a £10m fortune, even that wouldn't be enough to sustain a professional football club even of Pools' relative small size, based on how the club operates at the moment.
You would need a much bigger pot of cash available such as our current owners and their backers, and even then IOR are putting in more than anyone could ever dream of them doing.
We may never get to know the whys and wherefores of how they came to invest in Pools - all I know is, it's the best thing that ever happened at HUFC!!!!

PS in answer to the question, I would need to have a personal fortune of around £100m, at the very least around £75m, before I would ever consider buying Pools!!!!
I'll get me piggy bank and see what's in!!!!

Owning a football club is like a leaky bucket. You have to keep putting into it.
