'Arran Lee-Barrett made two great saves to keep the scoreline blank. And he is getting tremendous stick from the crowd, internet sites and fans behind the goal. Those fans want to start looking at one or two other people who aren’t doing it and stop blaming the goalkeeper, it’s not him'

Bollox. ALB has been poor in many many games and is criticised accordingly, when he has had decent games (Orient, West Ham etc) he has received plenty of praise. To suggest he is getting singled out is rubbish, in the last few weeks the likes of Humphreys, Liddle, Henderson and Robson have all had their critics but ALB is the one who has made the most critical mistakes.

'I’ve been a goalkeeper for 25 years and I would know if that goalkeeper was costing us points. It’s others who are costing us points but I cannot do anything about it because we haven’t the competition in certain areas'

I don't care if you've been a keeper for the last 250 years, to suggest he hasn't cost us points is plain stupid when you consider what happened last Tuesday night. I also feel he is starting to be critical of Humphreys there without naming names. Also if you don't feel we have competition in certain areas then maybe you should have only signed one or two centre forwards rather than 3 in the loan window.

'“I’ve tried to strengthen the front areas to ease the pressure and get the goals, but it didn’t happen on this occasion."

If you did it the other way round we would have a lot more points than we do now.

It's good to see that he is p****ed off about the way we played but a lot of his comments are sh%te in my opinion

I can imagine he's not.

On Saturday however some sections went out of their way to praise him in the first half and he applauded the home end when the 45 was up.

Personally i cant bare the thought of him as our keeper, i hope he just leaves, but aslong as he is playing theres nothing we can do but get behind him. He did well on saturday and i hope it continues as we need a strong keeper for this run in.

Agreed. Being a keeper is a lonely job at the best of times, the last thing you need is a few muppets behind you making things worse.

Turner ducked a lot of criticism when Stephenson was "in charge" last time we went down.
Turner had a hell of a lot to do with that in my opinion, at least he's putting his name to this relegation officially.
That makes 4 relegations at 3 clubs, and two very near misses at making it double relegations at Sheff Wed and Stockport - but at least those two clubs had the sense to bin him rather than waiting for him to complete the job.
Never mind, at least Pools will let him achieve this aim, even if one was done in the name of Stephenson

Chris Turner is not an idiot, just because you don't agree with someone it doesn't make them an idiot.

It's probably because of posts of this nature managers have have such a negative opinion of message boards. Everyone gets stereotyped because of people who go way, way over the top.

All very true. Yours, TPP and PP points are valid and add to the debate.

Calling Turner an idiot and a loser do not.

If Chris Turner seriously believes his recent comments re the keeper then he is an idiot. Everyone in the whole ground can see whata liability he is. Chris Turner has made do with substandard goalkeepers since he become a manager and he wouldnt know a good one if it slapped him in the face.

His managerial record is also one of a loser. Therefore I fail to see how calling him an idiot and a loser is wrong sctatchinghead

There really is no point talking to you is there? He inherited the goalies from Wilson. As has been said before, if there was goalkeepers in abundance Oldham wouldn't have taken Budz (or Cockfingers as you like to call him).

He's trying to give a young lad a bit of confidence. Do you really think he thinks he's a great keeper? I'd be fookin nervous if I had that defence in front of me.

I am not talking about the two keepers who CT inherited right now. Im talking about CT when he has been here previously and at Sheff Wed 9 (he was happy to make do with Anthony Williams for crying out loud who was almost as bad as ALB!) Williams let in soft goals every other game but CT never did anything about it.

Anthony Williams was excellent for a couple of seasons, we even rejected a decent bid from Cardiff for him. He should have been dropped in the promotion season, after Turner had left. His confidence was eroded to nothing during that period when Newell should have dropped him, Neale Cooper only had to watch him once.

Unreal, a thread about Turner and ALB, yet some daft fooker still tries to turn iy into an anti humphreys thread.

Still, no one seems to have picked up the point Turner made about a lack of competition for places.

Mr Turner, kindly tell me who ALB,s competition is, thanks. stpid stpid stpid stpid

Those idiot comments might not be far wrong.
