looked like he didnt want to be there yesterday. He has quality but not heart. And a brain the size of a pea judging by the amount of times he was offside.

Porter rarely gets caught offside.

I think Joel was off-side a few times too. If, as Chip says, a couple of the decisions were jubious, why can't professional footballers adjust their runs instead of continuing to make the same mistake? CT got it right - it just hands possession to the opponents & puts us on the back foot again. It's another aspect of how not to defend from the front

If Nardiello did have a dead leg, it didn't stop him running off the pitch, when subbed, faster than he seemed to run when he was on it

Chip I have little doubt the lad has a lot of ability, he showed that in a couple of runs but my problem with him was his body language he sauntered around like someone he couldn't give a fuck. I can accept someone having a bad game game but his work rate/attitude was extremely poor given that was his home debut, it was one of the most disappointing aspects of a very disappointing day.

I'm not writing him off at all. I was just very, very underwhelmed in him yesterday. He was actually caught offside three times because he'd been too lazy to get back onside. Is that the type of player you need in what is looking increasingly like a relegation battle?

I am giving him a chance, he was shite yesterday that's all I'm saying, Turner and West couldn't even look at him when he was subbed.

Our centre backs and midfield two were the biggest problem yesterday, Nelson and Collins were far to direct time after time they went for a ball when when an easy ball was available. Liddle and Clark just aren't creative enough against a team who are setting up with two banks of four. Rowell should be playing, from what I've seen the lad is good enough and given experience he will only get better.

We all know what Adam can do but if its " if he can be bothered or not " if adam cannot be bothered to play some weeks then we might as well do with out him i always remember when cooper loaned him out to boston because he couldnt be bothered then he come back like a new man.

Surely you should need that kind of kick up the backside when your playing for your home town club you should play with pride. sctatchinghead

As for Nardiello i agree with Chip down at brighton he was full of running and had plenty shots on goal then went to huddersfield showed plenty passion for the 50 mins down there before he was sent off for a 50/50 ball so why judge him on his first home game

but arent those exactly the same criticisms people used to make about boydie, and yet every man and his dog is clamouring for us to sign him.

I dont want the lad back waste of time unless he's in the bookies or up some lass

here we go, slagging a bloke off on the basis on 70 minutes.

he was probably our best player at brighton, and until the sending off one of our best players at huddersfield where he set up the equaliser. then again those getting on his back werent at those games.

when he goes in for a 50/50 with the keeper at huddersfield he gets slated for being too aggressive, now he is getting slagged off for being too weak.

anyone actually watching the game yesterday will have clearly seen him win 2 free kicks on the edge of the box in the first 20 minutes, and after the second foul on him he was given treatment and hobbling for a good 5 minutes.

you would also have seen him about to be subbed 5 minutes after porter went off ( we already had a sub lined up to come on ) and he tried to run it off with limited sucess.

as for slagging him off for running off the pitch when it was 0-0 and there wasnt long left, what do you want him to do ? time-waste.

priceless .

With respect Chip it was you who built this bloke up to be the next Pele.

I was just mildly disappointed with him. and I dont think he would get in our side ahead of Brown and Porter, if fit.

I expected more, though I accept he has quality. Infact the game was given up by the other 9 outfield players the minute Joel went off.

You could see the wilt like dying flowers almost immediately. No balls whatsoever, and Nardiello was one of the 9, as was Guy.

Gutless springs to mind, for all 9 of them.

No, I don't expect him to waste time. The point I made was that when leaving the field, he seemed to run quicker than at any other time during the game. As has already been said, his body language looked all wrong.

I respect your opinion, & placed great faith in your previous assessment of him based on the away games you have seen. I am not able to see many away games. On Saturday, I was disappointed in what I saw from him.

As for slagging off Jones, you won't find any posts from me on that topic.

I agree. I thought his body language was shocking, And its easy to see why he has spent so long out injured. the slightest knock, twinge, and he was feeling his knee, his back, his thigh, constantly looking over to the bench.

Lets hope he is good though as some people have seen. We need him to be.

And lets hope Porter isnt now out injured. Because if he is..................... bbolt
