Any one of the following results will ensure our survival in league 1

1 - We avoid defeat at Bristol Rovers
2 - Carlisle fail to beat Millwall
3 - Brighton fail to beat Stockport *
4 - Northampton lose at Leeds

* If we lose by 7 goals Brighton would overtake us with a draw.

Or to put it another way, all the following must happen to send us down:

1) Pools must lose
2) Carlisle must beat Millwall by a margin which when added to our losing margin makes at least six
3) Northampton must avoid losing to Leeds
4) Brighton must beat Stockport or else draw while Pools suffer a 7-goal reversal
