Did anyone else see the Salisbury v Nottingham Forest game? Tommy Widdrington is the player coach at Salisbury but was injured and didn't play but certainly spurred the team on from the touchline, I understand he has a contract there until 2010 - he never stopped talking. John Bass was right back for Salisbury & Nicky Southall played for Forest. Even John McGovern was shown commentating but not for the tv.
The Salisbury scorer, Matt Tubbs, looked good but is probably out of our range following his tv showing. Wasn't he in the League of Gentlemen?

Tommy Widds was excellent urging the lads on as he did when at pools
and Bassy had a good game too

I am happy for Widders he deserves it. Perhaps one day he'll rise up the ranks and manage us? Him and Gordon Watson would get the players fired up.

That Matt Tubbs did look like a canny footballer. It's a shame he didn't play for us.

Not this 'firing up' shite, especially from one as disruptive as GW

Firing up doesnt work when you are on a three year contract and the club can't, or won't pay you off
