I was working last night and we had it on the tele. I can honestly say I watched about 30 seconds of it and spent the rest of the time reading a book. I've never been so uninterested in England.

I find them impossible to attach myself to, there is such a measly amount of effort and the players just don't care as club football is more important to them.

I'd love to be patriotic about them and I'd probably watch them all over if they cared but I just can't find it in me. I haven't seen the starting XI yet, how many were injured or ill with late bugs?! :roll:

Good point: I never looked on the back of the not-so-young bloke who was in my local last night with a three lions shirt on.
But how sad is that anyway - trundling down to the pub on a quiet night to watch a match you know will only interest about four people, wearing full England regalia. Like as if there were going to be Spaniards in the pub.

I really don't see the problem in people going to support their country wearing their countries colours, much in the same way I wouldn't have a problem if they were watching Pools in the pub with their Pools colours.

The Gerrard thing has been done to it's death on here, it's plainly obvious to all he is a fantastic club player but total dog sh*te for England. He got injured a week ago and missed a game and a half for his club so I think his injury is genuine this time.

Unless it is the actual shirt of the player and therefore not a replica.
