That bloody fans day at Brighton when we lost 5-0 and the whole world including the referee was against us as he sent Chris Beech off

But on a more cheerful note 3 years ago today Martin Scott left the club

I went to that Fans United Day when I was very young - the only time I ever went to the Goldstone - I can't remembr evry much about it, but from what I can remember it wasn't a very pleasant day anyway.

The Meridian TV cameras were there to cover the game.

As for Martin Scott, I remember celebrating with my Dad after Ritchie Humphries slotted the home the penalty that sent us to Cardiff lie on Sky, he helped make history that day and he did play some part in that, but we were awful in the season after that.

I want to get revenge back on Milton Keynes on Saturday. for beating us with a late goal when we played them in April 2006. Everybody knew we had to win that day to have a realistic chance of staying up, but that goal was the greatest indication that we were heading for the drop.

Though if Micky Nelson hadn't equalised late on against Brentford, we were minutes from going down then, but we lived to fight another day, although some people would argue it was only a stay of execution. But I still celebrated that goal with the belief that maybe we could do it!

I was totally devastated after we got relegated against Port Vale - quite unexpected after all those years of success and I was too young to remember our last relegation.

Yeah, I thought so because the PA at Brighton on Saturday announced the teams by saying:

"12 years on from Fans United Day,..."

Brighton is a bounder
Brighton fans are bounders
Tommy Elphick is a bounder
