Tvvating Pop-Ups!!!!

Everytime the Bairn goes on the Computer I always get Bastard Pop-Ups!!!! banghead

I thought it was from a Games Site she goes on and I've told her not to go on it....but they still return!!!! banghead

It could be MSN!!!! :evil:

I've went into Tools and clicked on the 'No Pop-Ups' Button but still they keep coming!!!! banghead

I've got Anti-Spyware and Pop-Up Blockers running to no avail!!!! :evil:

Any advice would be appreciated!!!! :coool:

I was getting pop ups and tried everything. Then someone told me about this - www.malwarebytes.org.

I downloaded the free version, ran a full scan and it cleared them.

Are you using Internet Explorer? If you are then serves you right but that aside;

Go into Tools/Manage Add ons and see what oddities are loading themselves. Disable anything you don't like the look of like toolbars.
Then do a spyware scan.

Since I started using Firefox it got worse!!!! :shock:

i've always used firefox and had hardly any pop ups,does'nt firefox block them? has someone been mucking about with the settings?

you could always install google toolbar, its got a good pop up blocker

I also use FireFox and rarely get a popup. I think FireFox blocks them... Within reason. Its a cracking browser :grin:

Download AdAware to get rid of any spyware, and also CCleaner to flush out all of your internet cache, cookies etc. They are both available free.

If you get stuck with any spyware that AVG ect cannot get rid of use the free software from this site, it's better than any of the pay for softwares out there just ask Mr Grave it sorted his PC out.
