It seems he contemplated taking Joel OFF. Saying he is worth perservering with. Perservering? If he is doing that with Porter, what on earth would he call his treatment of Henderson, Mackay and Foley? There is fog in the air, and its turning everybody mad.

WTF? Nowhere in that article does it say Turner was thinking about taking Joel Porter off......

"Joel played magnificently in the last 25 minutes and that's what he can do in a game. He says it himself, he only played for 25 minutes tonight and nearly won it for us. When you're not training to your maximum, you're not going to play well every week, and you're going to have one or two off moments. Some guy said to me 'take him off', but if you take him off then you take off a massive opportunity of getting back in the game, saving the game or even winning the game."

banghead

Looks to me as if it says "some guy said to me 'take him off'", it doesn't say "I thought about taking him off"

What Turner said about Joel last night is absolutely spot on, he has done nothing but praise Joel since he got the job and rightly so. Tuner actually states it was people in the crowd telling him to take him off. Wilson probably would have....

there was only one player that was going to grab the equaliser, and that was Porter. I'd have him on with one leg before 3/4's of our squad.

Amen to that Mr Elvis.

Who are these clowns in the crowd? Porter is playing 90 min matches and not even training due to an on goin niggle. He will require resting shortly though, february is a hectic month of 7 games. Who would we bring on to help the cause as much as joel anyway? oh wait i forgot, we have the strike force of mackay and foley!! violin
