Apart from the ref of course......

It's easy to blame McKay but the service to the forwards was poor. We passed it around midfield nicely but apart from Liddle's header I don't remember a single good final ball.

Robson is very one footed which makes it pretty predictable what he is going to do. The last two teams we've played have done their homework on us and had two very good right backs and consequently he has been ineffective. Turner used to regularly switch wingers over and I think we could do worse than trying that now, it'll certainly given the opposition defence something extra to think about.

Playing Mackay was a massive c*ck up from Turner IMO, I said it before the match and was regrettably proved right. He was never going to get a kick against Premiership footballers who have great footballing brains. If you're going to play Mackay in such games then you have to utilise his speed, playing the ball to his feet and expecting him to hold the ball up is criminal. Brighton have got Tommy Elphick and Turner just can't start with Mackay, it has to be Henderson.

I personally thought the game was crying out for Jonny Rowell with half an hour to go, we needed a bit of spark and creativity. Liddle and Jones don't have that although I thought they had good games. Rowell would have provided some good balls for Joel and Henderson to force their defence back which is something we never really did.

Surely the reason we lost is because they scored two goals, and we scored none.

Nothing....the question is why they scored two goals and we none. So, erm, that can't be the answer.
