Could be about 7300 taking into account the last minute punters. I'm happy with that, should be a great atmosphere.

IOR must have started wondering if Pools would ever get close to sell-out again, regarding some crowds recently, but this is great news for them and for us. It is a boost when there is such interest to be at the game even with tv cameras there.

PS this is a day Pools would have LOST money, because the club would have had to pay for the team to go to Swindon!!!!
Now it's a full house with tv money, radio money and at the very least the losing team's prize money

Well there was about 7000 a few hours ago, so it's probably about 7032 now. :coool:

It would have sold out if it wasn't on the tele, loads of exiles would have come up for a start and then there are others around the town who can't justify spending loads of money for a game they can watch on the tele.

I concur but the £160,000 more than compensates for the few hundred missing. I'm just glad it's just about full, really looking forward to the day now.

I've got to add anybody who lives in the town and can afford to attend the match but is watching the game on the box is a rarf of the very highest order though

Absolutely, the 500 people we're missing would be bringing in less than 10k and then that would have to be divided.

It won't make a bit of difference now whether those tickets sell or not, it's going to be packed and I'm sure I keep getting a twinge everytime I think about it.
