My mrs is getting her new car today so I am going to sell her old one as soon as I can, but the problem is it has an oil leak and I can't find out where from. My dilemma is do I sell it as seen for a bit less than I want to compensate for the leak or is there anyone who could have a look at it and maybe fix it if it is cheap enough to do so.

Also does anyone know who to remove oil from a block paved driveway :uhoh:

Jetwash it.

Although you may need to get some additives similar to graffiti removal gear if it is stubborn.

Check your sump plug ...mind, that would involve draining the engine to check the seal/washer....

Don't know what car your wife has Fensy but my wife's Ford Ka had a slight oil leak that left its mark on the drive. The only solution was to fit a new sump - not just the gasket but the whole sump. Apparently this is common on Ka's and was very expensive. I'd tried the sump plug washer before but to no avail.

What kind of car is is Fensy? And are you sure it's engine oil?
Not power steering fluid or gearbox oil?

It is a 51 reg Nissan Micra, yeah it is definatly oil over the last 3-4 months I have had to put in around 2-3 litres of the stuff.

I know that when we bought it a couple of years back a seal had gone and I got that replaced but that was a warranty job so I don't know how much it cost, I am hoping that it is only something similiar again.

How many wheels does a Reliant Ripper have? Five?

I know that the Reliant Robin had three, and the Reliant Kitten had four, but I've not heard of the Reliant Ripper before. confised

Brilliant idea, the 'Reliant Ripper'....what a car... it has a ring to it, I can see it now. The drawing of the said vehicle will duly appear...anybody have any ideas for features...? clap

What about a tray underneath the engine to catch the oil escaping from the sump.

It's well documented that Ripper drives a Trabant.
