A fantastic servant to the club. Lets hope he makes the 400+.

If Danny Wilson hadn't shipped him out on loan to Vale he'd be 10 games nearer.

I still think in hindsight that was a good piece of management from the uninspiring one. At the time quite a few (Ritchie included) needed a kick up the arse after relegation and our moderate start. If you'd asked me if I thought it was a good idea while I was watching John Brackstone at Lincoln while he was at Port Vale I may have said something different, but when he came back he was rejuvenated and went on to have a fine season as did the club.

providing we get beat off west ham, and ritchie plays every game, for teh next 12 anyway, we will be at home to see him reach 400. it will either be the tuesday night against tranmere, or the saturday against peterborough.

the club should do something to celebrate this fact and hopefully have a full house for sir richard

I didn't think he did too bad last night but his distribution continues to be abysmal. The amount of passes that he wastes is beyond a joke.

Cant Turner send him out on loan again now?

Actually I never thought letting Humphries go out on loan was an inspired piece of management by Wilson. It was another example of his poor player judgement. He would quite happily have let Humphries go, just as he did at Sheff Wed, but realised quickly that he was then, and come to think of it still is, our best left back. Also, club captain, a very useful left midfielder and an acceptable middle of the park player.
The more you look at Pools current predicament the more you realise what a poor judge of players Wilson was.
Kyle was rubbish and look at our games to goals ratio since he was preffered in the centre and Browny moved out wide. It,s hypothetical I know but if Kyle hadn,t have been there then Browny would not have got injured.
Wilson kept up the unsuccessful chase for Duffy when Danny Graham would have gladly signed.
Two poor keepers.
Disrupted the Nelson/Clark partnership..twice. Made Collins captain and one of our top earners making it diifficult to drop him and have him sat on the bench.
Ruined Monkhouses confidence. Remember how after a good promotion season Wilson wouldn,t start him and explained that it wasn,t a given that he would perform well in Div.1
Will Mackay or Foley ever be as good as Effion. Released too soon in my opinion.
Another season out of Mickey Barron last term would have saved us points when Antwi was throwing them away.
Changed Sweeney from the best attacking midfielder in Div. 1 in our play-off season into an under-employed right back when we,re crying out for goals from midfield.
Jones anyone?
Power anyone? To be fair I,d like to have seen a bit more of him, but Turner has and still doesn,t pick him.

Wilson has been succesful in management at one club. Barnsley. The reason?, Frank Barlow.

Bristol City, MK Dons, Pools....you know what,s next

How many more times do we have to explode this myth?
