Am I the only one on here who thinks he flatters to decieve - he very rarley gets past his man, isn't a great tackler and to me doesnt contribute to much to the team - runs about a lot but I'm not convinced - I'd rather see Rowell given his chance

I think he's an excellent player. A bit of end product lacking but he has a great engine and plenty of ability, he's still only a young lad as well plenty of scope for improvement with experience. A very good signing.

like most youngsters it will take 2 - 3 years of regular football before he starts really showing what he is capable of. He has only had around 1 full season in total. I personally think he will turn out to be a quality signing

I also agree with PJ
He's wasted on the right wing for us though!! Get him back in the middle and we'll see him improve again

i'm also a fan but from the few games I have seen this year he seems lost out wide but I guess he is still learning his trade. Was class in the middle against WBA.

There was one track back in the first half on saturday where we stole the ball from the Stoke forward with ease and played the ball out to Robson (I think). He maded it look easy but was absolute quality. clappp clappp

every few games he is going to come up against an opponent who simply knows too much for him. That will change in time, as those opponents are already at the fag end of their careers and Jones is still learning what it'sd all about in the engine room.
There's definitely a good schemer in the making there.

Jones, very much like Ben Clark is an excellent footballer, always lookin for a pass rather than a wasteful lump up the field. He is not a winger but with our limited Striking options does a job out there.. its not as if we have anyone to get on the end of crosses at the minute anyway! With the right partner in the middle the lad could be outstanding asset!
