He'd be a brilliant signing for the rest of this season, he was still outstanding in the Championship last season.

Would be an excellent sigining to end of the season - player manager even better - fully comitted and loads of passsion for the game could be a brilliant manager in my book and would be a great choice for Pools next manager- wonder if hes cup tied

Him and Porter up front clappp

He started in the Premiership only a couple of weeks ago. I don't want a player manager it rarely works.

He's nicked my scarf!

Would be a good signing until the end of the season - wonder if he got on with Sam Collins when they were at Hull. If so, put in a word - it could be the most effective thing you've done

If Bradford are in for him, mind - I think he'll end up there.

I doubt he wants to play in the Fourth Division, he's better than that.

Lives in the West Yorkshire area though so Bradford is probably quite attractive (to him anyway!). Wherever he goes he'll be after first team football, which we can 100% guarentee at pools!

Dean Windass as player-soon-to-be-manager ... gets a resounding YES! from me.
Mind you, the manager bit seems a bit on the speculative side.

A superb signing if it happens. I have the utmost respect for the bloke.

Quote:
When asked what it felt like to gain legendary status among the fans, the Hull-born striker said: "I'm not a legend. People use that word too much in football and I don't like it.

"I don't like that phrase because you get people like those who go and fight for the country in Iraq and those sorts of places, and I get paid a lot of money just to kick a football about.

"They are the real legends, the real heroes. Not people like me, and I don't want to be called that."

is mumbling along, and not really saying proper words, allowed?
It all adds to the sound, and it could be classed as harmonies from the backing singers

He's self-confirmed on itv.com he is in talks with us.
"Hartlepool, has come in for me and I'm waiting to see how things develop. I'm going to talk over the move with my family over the next couple of days and take it from there."

a couple of points;
-windass isn't cup tied if he signs before the west ham game yet is he?
-would this be the fa cup money pools are spending in advance?
-the theory according to the experts on five live on saturday, notably steve stone, was that wilson left cos he wanted more money and the club told him there wasn't any so what does this say about IOR's relationship with him?

I reckon Hull would stop him playing if they're still in the Cup but it won't make any odds if they're out. Does that mean we'll have to support the Geordies in the replay? I'd feel sick.

The closest I've seen to him actually signing is his quote about us being in touch and talking it through with his family. It looks 95% there.

I just hope he's not married to Jack Ross's ex.

Just read that Dean Windass agent is his wife, not sure if it was for real or a piss take but if it's true he would be killing 2 spuggies with one stone.
