I wasn't that shocked, people obviously see a lot more ability than I do. Fortunately Stoke weren't good enough to test him and when Micky Nelson tested him he was up to the task!

To be fair we'd done our homework on Stoke, from the Delap throw ins ALB was taken out of th equation. Nelson stood almost on the byline so he could have a run at them, I'd say he got to and headed about 80% of them clear. I'm amazed such a simple tactic had beaten the likes of Arsenal this season :shock:

Like I mentioned yesterday....all the commentators I listened to yesterday....(and I kept switiching from one to the other)....were all saying Nelson was outstanding and never got beat once in the air!!!! clappp :coool: clappp

He was outstanding, the best bit was when he was on the wing (dont know how he ended up there) and one of the defenders came running towards him, so he just nutmegged him and put in a good cross....quality!

He's been caught out of position doing that in the past. Okay until there's a counter atack and then they're knackered. Still delighted with the win though

Heard at the game yesterday that he had a 3 game 'ban' due to discipline reason over christmas which i think was mentioned on here? So yesterday would have been game 3.

Only passing on what i heard, but i think being dropped after 3 decent displays for no reason is still punishment even if hes on the bench.

If it were the case, it wouldn't be an official punishment, just a club internal matter I'd imagine, so could the 'punishment' be tailored to suit club needs.
