A football club is for life not just for Christmas or glory hunting times!

We've followed Pools long enough through thick 'n' thin through some bad bad bad ole times

Aye, you're right, I wish I could of gone, but I havent been back to my own gaff for over a week, the heating is bust and I have a leaky radiator which need to be fixed, add this to the fact I have to travel to Bristol tomorrow, it put a right spanner in my plans

So to recap

I'm fooking gutted I missed it

A huge turnout from the town wasn't it - about 4500 to see us scalp a Premiersh*t team. No wonder Stokies were saying our ground was too big for us!

There were a lot on here who said they couldn't be ar5ed to go - in fact there was even a thread asking if people could be bothered. Well I was bothered and will savour the moment for a long time. I can always tell the kids that "I was there".

only if you took the 'poll' seriously, I think a clue is in the 10-0 defeat, one of which was mine to show the 'poll' up for what it was.

But it would have been taken seriously if we had got beaten.

Hey ho.

And didnt it come in the wake of the joke performance that was Crewe.

Hands up those true poolies that walked out before the end of that one. Be honest now, cause I gonna be.

not me
too many years of supporting pools taught me a game lasts 90 min plus stoppage
otherwise i would have missed the likes of boydys 90th minute wondergoal
i pay for a full game i stay for a full game win lose or draw :coool:

Wouldn't dream of walking out before a match end. As someone said recently (Mr MJ?) there're always at least some players who deserve a bit of applause at the end.

Walking out before the end is akin to sulking, innit, and only women do that.......

Even more annoying for me, I finished work at 2, drove back from Thornaby, and got to the Mill House Car Park by 2:30. I came through to pick up the lads, but obviously would have liked to have watched the last 20 minutes. The steward on the gate couldn't let me in 'Because two cameras are watching me, and they are paranoid about us letting anybody in'. But while I waited for the gates to open, he let about half a dozen early leavers out. My plea to take the place of one of them, fell on deaf ears!
