The defence is...

I've never seen such a...

No words can sum up how pissed off I am.

These players get paid to do a job. A combination of IOR and us supporters are paying for this.

A man who has invested over £9 million into our squad is paying those twats to arse around. People can blame him but I actually feel sorry for him as he's tried to help HUFC and the players he's invested his money in are letting him down.

People who work long hours are paying those twats to throw in the towel and give in.

The majority of our players have no desire (I don't need to name which ones do and don't because it's blindingly obvious) and too many of them are passengers and getting paid for it.

It was the most spineless second half peformance ever, we are the laughing stock of League 1. Thanks a lot Pools.

And how are we going to get the crowds back up when we play like that?

This was a topsy turvy league last year with odd results and teams that looked liked they should be in the bottom in the top etc, it only looks like its the same.

How the hell MK, Peterborough and Millwall are challenging for promotion I'll never know.

Because sadly, they are on another planet to us football wise.

Please to God fuck off!

So we HAVE made an improvement over the last 10 year then, because at least we are the laughing stock of League 1 and not League 2

the worst performace i can remember. I personally think people on here are letting the team off lightly! A lot of people have said we played well at times, we were unlucky etc. Well i thought that for 80 minutes we looked like a sunday league team. fucking rubbish, an embarrasment

the most annoying thing about footballers these days is their tendency to promote themselves and surround themselves with hype about their ability etc etc - when there is no substance to back any of it up. Kyle is the prime example of this - for his wages at a club like Pools I expect to see overhead kicks flying into the top corner, not backheels against his own f-ucking legs.
There are plenty of others, it's like the modern day version of The Emperor's New Clothes.
What happened to the old days when an old fashioned manager could see through them all and the players fell into two categories - good enough and not good enough.
Far too many of the latter category are meking it into the professional ranks and they can do it because of agents and spin doctors conning clubs into buying them with their "recommendations."
Some people won't like me mentioning his name, but Mike Newell trusts nobody and he has driven miles and miles to watch players he has been tipped off about. He wants to see them with his own eyes. This is another point which irks me about most managers - they are too lazy and take the easy option of signings based on recommendations - obviously they are getting recommended because the agent wants a signing on fee, and the parent club wants rid of the f-uckers.
And mug teams like Pools with a mug manager like Wilson ends up signing the f-uckers.
It's not hard - why can't we get someone with Newell's approach to signings? After all it's what they get paid to do - and it will root out the Michael Proctors and Lee Bullocks and Kevin Kyles of this world for what they really are

it's what it is now - it's on the bbc website in the league two section. He is absolutely correct to do things that way.

can't find it now - they've removed it, it's not even in their archive stories. It was only there the other day!!!!

Basically he won't sign any players unless he's watched them personally, he won't take any recommendations from anyone on any player he doesn't know much about. He says when that happens you're stuck with a player who is draining finances for two years but is no good to you. It's a longer term rebuilding job to do it his way in terms of how long it might take to find all the players you need, but if the club and the fans have the patience then it will prove to be the right strategy in the long term.

I remember reading it, was a good article, he drives everywhere to watch players cos as parmo says, he wants too see them for himself.

Maybe thats why he never signed anyone for us i dunno.
