For my part, this should be fun dont you know.

Prohibition is back and ever determined to elude the beady eye of the law, for its New Year’s Eve Special, which promises to be another exciting foray into the glamorous 1920s!

A secret speakeasy location will play host to Prohibition New Year’s Eve where the roaring 20s will be revived and partygoers will see in the new decade in magnificent style. Hidden away from the prying eyes of police, the venue will feature four rooms filled with flappers and dandies surreptitiously quaffing bootlegged booze and dancing the Charleston.

Drinks at the whitehouse and then marina

Not going to the town, far too busy on boxing day, was expecting a hillsborough style crush.

Went to the Mountain Bar after work, the younger ones went onto the Soho Club, and we sat with this Swedish bloke and his chopsy wife, shared a Davidoff cigar and a few beers and then she kicked off and caused an incident.

Birds eh??

I had to send our rass home, get in the way while these kids wanted to have words with his missus who was still working her ticket, pacify the staff and make friends with the locals again who know me by sight.

I'd have slapped her myself if I thought she wasn't capable of biting my hand off. rage

Kev, compared to having to pay for a ticket to get somewhere at some ridiculous hour just to get a seat and then be hemmed in surrounded by people who decided it's a good idea to bring their entire family, including their every child, talking over the music and finding the buffets been 'locustised' by the same families at a pub that shall remain nameless ...babysitting is a pure joy.

We've been using the kids as an excuse for years now. As the youngest is now 17 I suppose there is no reason for us not to go out, except we can't be arsed with all the others out 'celebrating'. Just a bad tempered old fart now I suppose.
