Can anyone beat. I wanna be adored, The Stone Roses?

After the first 20 seconds you just knew the album would be superb!

Jens Lekman - I Remember Every Kiss from Night Falls Over Kortedala is the best opener and is a superb album.

The Stone Roses were/are awesome by the way and the album hasn't dated at all!!!

I can beat it with a shitty stick, because The Stone Roses were bollocks.

Best intro to an album is either The Queen Is Dead or Pop Song 89 from Green by REM.

Was Green the one with Orange Crush?

If so, brilliant album

Edit: Music: Response from the Chemical Brothers' Surrender was excellent

I was going to say Music: Response but I opted for Jens!!! If it wasn't for the vastly overrated Missy Elliott being on it, I probably would have. The Roses have not been bettered by anyone since btw and piss on most of the stuff beforehand! Genuinely superb and immensely influential!

I love the Chemical Brothers me. Superb!!!

No argument for me. I love 'The Queen is Dead' but there has never ever been an intro to an album like the opener of 'Doolittle' by the Pixies.

Debaser is just so superb. And then the next two tracks are as good ('Wave of Mutilation' and 'I Bleed') before they chill the tempo down with a great pop single (' Here Comes My Man').

I can't even think of a Fall album that starts as strongly (though 'Grotesque' and 'Country on the Click' go close)

Thank you. It is a superb album from start to finish. Almost as good is their last ablum We Are The Night. Some of the songs on there are incredible, especially The Pills Won't Help You Now.

In my top 5 live acts i've ever seen too!
