The final straw came at half-time at Hereford, from what i have been told Wilson lost it big time and really upset the apple cart.
This lead to the players demanding a meeting with Hodcroft to clear the air.
The rest is history.

It's about as correct as the other 50 rumours

Why not, it happened with Cooper and Newell. At some point the board will have to back a manager instead of the primadonna players.

if this story was true and he upset several players then surely we would have naturally played worse after half time, and by all accounts we improved massively after the break.

Again another rumour, why people have to 'find' reasons for his departure is beyond me. Can't we all just move on???

Maybe he'd just lost interest and was glad to go and both parties were mutually satisfied....boring admittedly and not very 'sexy' in a jounalistic way, but as likely as the silly rumours eh?

Unfortunately that doesnt sell papers, it doesnt make people tune into the radio...

And this messageboard wouldnt have 100+ people logging on if we all knew wilson was let go by ken over a cup of coffee and a handshake.

People naturally love a scandal, and whilst pools continue to stay silent, just like cooper, the rumour lovers and newspapers will continue to speculate.

All of this speculation and procrastination happens because the club doesn't let the fans know what actually happened. People are left to make their own inferences and draw their own conclusions, which may be partially accurate, accurate or wholly inacccurate. Niall Quinn held a press conference where all questions were answered and there was no room left for doubt.

It all happens because the papers love to stir it up, are you seriously suggesting that if a chairman of a club came out and gave the reasons why a manager left, the journo's would accept it and that would be the end of it....NAH.
They'd have their version of events and if the chairmans version lined up with their fantasies, they'd give it the nod, if not, let loose the dogs of mischief.

I think you're right in a way. I think people are fooled into thinking they love a scandal though. The newspapers print whatever the hell they want in order to intensify the situation which leads onto better sales. The tv and radio stations (talksport in particular) employ "pundits" (if you can call the likes of Jason Cundy that) to either agree or disagree, depending on which viewpoint will cause the most outrage. Unfortunately, people are too blinkered to see it and fall for it time and time again, thus leading to ridiculous rumours and people making shyte up, like the one at the start of this thread.

The fact is he's gone. We've convincingly won a game since then and look like a team again. I'm happy to focus on that, personally.
