After finishing work for the year today, I realised that my trip to Hong Kong is 6 days away and I haven't done my homework at all. What are the things that I should see/do when I'm over there?

Cheers chaps!

Place one index finger on the outside of each eye socket and press down, then move both of those fingers about half an inch further outwards. Do this before engaging any of the locals in conversation, it goes down a treat.

That just made me laugh out loud ...... and thought of the old school rhyme 'my mam's chinese......etc'

If you're looking to buy any camera or electronic items Nathan Road is the place, but be carefull in the shops, they're all bloody burglars with shop fronts.
The favourite trick is to sell you what you've asked for, get your money off you, then while someone is "out the back" getting said item from the store room the salesman explains to you that there are better alternatives available. They then try like hell to sell you an older model for a higher price. The quality of bullshit is first class. If you do get to the point of handing over any cash be prepared to spend quite a few hours in there in an argument.
Make sure you've got the item in your hand before before letting them see your cash / visa card.

Or alternatively theres been a Disneyland there for three years !

Get the tram up to the Peak for a great view of the city and do a Star Ferry harbour tour. The cable car trip to the giant Buddah on Lantau Island is quite fun, but didn't have time to go to Aberdeen to see the junks. Can also recommend the Dim Sum at Lin Heung Tea House on Wellington Street in Central.
