I was listening to 5Live this morning about the environmental protestors from 'plane stupid' invading stansted to draw people's attention to the apparent folly and dangers of extending britain's airports. there were the usual obligatory platitudes from both sides, with the protestors arguing that they'd tried to raise the problem with the government on behalf of the people of britain, the majority of whom 'support them', but democracy in this country was such a joke and the government so in the thrall of big business that 'direct action' was the only way to get their point across sctatchinghead

does this strike anyone else as a complete fookin excuse to defy the rule of law in this country and basically do what the fook you like by claiming the moral high ground ? or are they right ?

does the panel think........?

I heard that too, I had to laugh when two of them came on sharing the phone together, what a pair of tossers, I loved how one of them really had a bit of venom in his voice when he said the coach driver would miss his daughters nativity play because of their 'action'... had to pay the price and it was worthwhile.
Loved how when the presenter asked why they didn't go to the public enquiry, they said it wasn't democratic and it should be held at Wembley so they could all have a say. Just imagine 100, 000 tedious eco warriors droning on ...... that should take a bout 150 years alone.

and i quite like the idea of having my dinner made for me, and free internet and open university access.

but it was the prospect of being bottom raped by burgalars and other petty crooks that put me off. as im very good looking i would be an obvious target for nefarious types. sadx

one thing everyone should realise is that nobody can or ever will change Government stance or policy on things by this kind of action. How old are these people?
Remember those fathers for action blokes in spiderman outfits?

yeah i thought he sounded like a right angry little middle-class swampy. he got quite irate about how the workers have always had their rights taken away from them by whatever government is in power, and then virtually had an aneurism and started spouting some cod-marxist shoit that had me laughing out loud, especially when derbyshire asked him if he actually knew for a fact that the 'majority of the country' supported his pressure group. his eloquent, rehearsed reply ? "How do you (derbyshire) know they don't ?

some old home counties bird had the official spokeswoman (person?) from 'plane stupid' tied up in knots by asking her whether their use of an old fire engine to 'storm the barricades' was not harmful to the environment in itself. (unwitting) comedy genius.

stick em in the army, its the only language they understand !!!

One of my mates is a prison officer at Winchester and no doubt an open prison would offer better facilities but at his nick they get a quid per person per day to feed the cons, because of over crowding they are locked up for 22 hours a day. And only after so many weeks are the cons allowed to either work or go on education with internet access.

He was based in Leeds at the big black castle type prison there and he said riots happen a couple of times a day and maybe once a month someone complains of being raped.

I am sure a month or two in HMP Leeds would sort out all the tree huggers.

fathers for justice ? one of them got dressed up as batman and chained himself to one of the hands on big ben.

frankly if id been the mother of his bairns i wouldnt let him fooking near them either.

or at least not until he lost the batman gear. its not right is it, blokes in their 40's dressing up as batman and showing off in front of the tv cameras ?

mentalist behaviour imho.

Bastards for fathers more like
