According to resident expert Quakerz:

"It doesn't have to be below 0ºC for the pitch to freeze.

The pitch can freeze/frost up readily at +2-3ºC under clear skies, because the temperature we all know of is taken at 4ft and is the air temperature. The GROUND temperature is always several degrees below the air temperature, and ground frost occurs when the GROUND temperature falls below 0ºC. This is why meteorolgists take a "grass minimum" temperature as well as the air temperature. But, as we don't live 1cm above the floor but 5-6ft above the floor, the temperature we are interested in, and the one that is forecasted for, is the air temperature, where we live so to speak.

Quite often I've woken up to thick frost and frozen ground when the temperature has been +1ºC (the ground temperature will have been 2 or 3 degrees below zero though).

For the record, it is currently 4.4ºC, the warmest we've had for 6 days or so. If the temperature remains so, the ground will be alright."

I'm sick of you.

You add nothing to this board of any substance, and you support a club who've recently been beaten by Droylsden and Chester. You support a club who amazingly couldn't stage a game on the mildest day for three weeks, you support a club who will hopefully go out of business soon.

Fuck off.

If that's abuse I'll ban myself but I stick by what I say, what position is he in to take the piss? He doesn't even watch that shower of shite.

Ps. I've had a bad day

We play in Division three, you in four and have done for nearly 20 years, so do me and everyone else a massive favour and welcome to the board

No dummy being spat and I'd just rather we had a better class of Loid contributing to the board like Quakerz or Sarf, it appears we're stuck with you.

You know someone capable of posting with some substance, not shitty one liners. I'd have no problem with your contributions if they were worth reading.

The point you dullard is, this is a football message board and you never post football related threads, just poor attempts at comedy when the only funny thing about you is the team you claim to support.
