You know the player is having a nightmare when even the manager shakes his head at his escapades - several noted mr wilson do just that at one of kyle's 'headers' ----this man is not what we need - he is spoiling the team - send him back - pleeeeeeease!!!!!

Lee-Barratt 6 I didn't think he had a chance with the goal once the clown show again gave a forward 3 yards start.

Robson 7.5 If I had to name a man of the match - other than Steve Phillips - it would be him.

Nelson 7 Generally solid. Took goal well. The incompetence displayed for the goal tarnished a fair display

Clark 7 As Nelson.

Sweeney 6.5 OK. Appears to have upset Joel Porter who was very reluctant to pass to him.

Brown 6 Contributed nothing of note, as often recently. Hope his knee is OK but a rest may do him good.

Jones 6 A lot of his contribution goes un-noticed. It would be better for him if a lot of his distribution did!

Liddle 6 Plays holding role well but must offer more coming forward.

Monkhouse 4 Really, honestly - try a bit harder or piss off. An infuriating talent.

Kyle 4 Offered so much less than Barker would have in terms of effort for so much more money.

Porter 7 Great at times in the first half. More anonymous second half.

Foley 3 Has the toolkit to be a player. Has no chance of doing that at Pools where he will never turn the crowd round. Enough is enough. A bad joke that has gone on too long. Time to go. You can confidently predict that he will look great against the plumbers and postmen of Fleetwood. Needs a move to a lower level to rebuild confidence. His body language tonight betrayed his lack of belief.

Steve Phillips 9 Yet again - superb. Kicking, shot-stopping, collection of ball under pressure all faultless.

A horrible, unsatisfying game.

clappp clappp clappp clappp clappp clappp clappp clappp

He was terrible tonight, lacked interest in the matter of a football match. Only after match fitness in a bid to sign for a championship team in january and we'd be a better side without him imho.

it cant help when he gets booed by his own supporters before he has even kicked a ball. his confidence is probably at an all time low, and playing in front of the millhouse moaners wont help.

i dont blame him, i blame the manager for putting him in the situation in the first place. he isnt a midfield player and playing him there repeatedly wont make him one.

i actually admire the kid for having the guts to go out and play and keep looking for the ball when he is probably hating every minute of it.

he needs a spell on loan up front in division 4.

When tonight did he look for the ball?? Everytime sweeney/liddle or anyone else for that matter picked the ball up and looked out to the right for an outlet Foley was nowhere to be seen, hiding in the middle of the park!!!! and when he rarely did get the ball and had the chance to run at the full back he stopped and gave it back to our full back then ran inside therefore becoming anonymous.

I agree its wilsons fault for picking him, but surely he must be the only one in the ground who thinks that foley is good enough for this level. I have slagged him off in the past (which may seem unfair) but now i just lose interest in the game when he is on the pitch.

Its not just foley though, our bench tonight would struggle to get a game for most league 2 teams, none of them could have come on and influenced the game in a positive way for us, how are we meant to compete with the lack of strength and depth required for this level??

i have to agree re the bench

Last night there was no way on earth i would have brought foley on for brown - monkhouse was well marked all night (and a bit off form) but i would have put him on the right, humphreys left back - robson left wing.

we improved so much as an attacking force down that wing when robson pressed on and had two or three very good chances to score and if wasnt for tosspot phillips and the woodwork we would all have a different perception about last nights game.

how bad was humphreys when he came on though, barretts kicking, and nelsons touch - no wonder liddle drops too deep to pick the ball up leaving a huge gap in the midfield .

the bench tho' - we have quite a few kids who have come thro the ranks who need to be blooded now before they turn into foleys/raes - if tymon can do nothing but score then why isnt he getting a look in on the bench - mackay hits the nt for the reserves, knows what the ball and the goal look like but is still behind foley in the peckin order it seems. where would mccunnie play - if its in midfield then dont bother and use rowell or young - i think its time for a rethink in the 'corridors of power' and time to take stock - particularly with the Brown injury - and see where we go from here.

There may be trouble ahead.

i disagree with those who say foley was hiding. i dont think he gets himself in good positions to receive the ball out wide, but thats probably because he is a striker being asked to do one job for the reserves and another for the first team.

he isnt a winger, and he deffo isnt a midfield player, so its hardly suprising he doesnt know where he is meant to be. for me he is a striker or nothing. brown has so much ability he can get away with playing out wide but little david isnt blessed with that unfortunately.

as i said, any confidence foley had has completely left him, and i really feel for him, because it isnt his fault. its not like he can turn around and refuse to play is it.

as for him passing sideways and backwards i agree again, but was he any worse last night than jones or liddle both of whom seem terrified of shooting ?

at least he is probably only on about 300 quid a week. how do you justify spending in excess of 3 grand a week on kyle who struggles every time we play a half decent side ?

Gotta say, I felt that Foley hid again last night. His positioning is woeful. When he needs to stay out wide he drifts inside and vice versa. It says a lot for Wilsons ineptitude that he keeps persisting with him

if he knew deep down he wasn't good enough- then why did he sign the deal? He shouldn't have been offered it in the first place and the situation wouldn't have got to where it is now.
Even if he scores the winner for the next three home games (and there's more chance of me doing that to be honest) it's too late for him- people have made their minds up but to be fair to them, in this instance they are correct. Even lads like Appleby, Wilkinson, Istead produced more goals and team play which led to goals than this kid - they're all gone but this kid is still here. I just simply don't get it.

KK was poor last night - but has anyone else notice how quick he is to yell at other players if he doesn't get the ball exactly as he requires - quick to mouth off at others - yet slow to work and perform himself.

Sorry but i tink he has nothing to add to our team - in fact - detracts from our play!!
