Surely we are trying given todays news?

We are potentially going to be dragged into relegation trouble if we don't do anything.

You would hope they are trying but don't hold your breath.

But, and it's a big but who.

Given that the Brown injury happened 2 days ago, confirmed as out for the season only today, then Wilson, and his scouting team would not have been looking at anyone for his position.

This means that anyone brought in would be a panic loan (IMHO), and would probably mean that Pools' would be taking someone else's words that he could do a job for us.

Now if the scouting team have been looking at other positions, then there is a possibility but any negoiations should have taken place well before today. So, once more IMHO we won't be bringing anyone in.

Simple solution Recall Barker, and get him in the team on Saturday.

It's not a simple solution as it can not be done.

Barker does not have a recall clause and a permanent deal is agreed for January!

There is a recall clause in the agreement.

The recall is simply under the loan agreement, under FA rules.

Which state

A player on emergency loan can be recalled after 28 days but not before".

As he joined Rotherham on October 3rd, those 28 days have passed.

The initial agreement may have said with a view to a permanent transfer, but until January 1st, he is technically still our player, so IMHO we can recall him and say the permanent transfer may happen in January it may not.
