Nelson and Clark is the way forward. I used to love Collins but he is a liability this season and Nelson is more at home with Clark.

Liddles break looks to have done him some good and Porter is as class as ever. Still not convinced with Foley but I dont think right wing suits him. Am starting to like Robson more and more and although Iv seen him play better, I still loving seeing him run at people and from being someone who wanted him released-I really want him to make it and hope he gets some more chances on the wing.

Well done Pools.

Agree with that, only thing that i noticed was we put in more crosses tonight then we have done since kyle first came and he wasnt playing. Monkhouse is a better player no doubt about it, but if wilson is going to play kyle we need to get crosses in for him, and only robson at the club does it reguarly when hes on the pitch. Come on Monky, start getting some crosses whipped in! Hats off to sweeney aswell tonight, solid game and did very well to set up the goal.

Problem is when Kyle is playing that we hit long balls and miss out teh midfield totally so its very hard for them to get crosses in. Without Kyle-we pas it more and the midfield is more involved and therefore get into more crossing positions. imo.

Agree again, its finding the balance which is what wilson needs to do . No negatives from me tonight though, think ill enjoy a perfect evening of pools progressing and the loids getting dumped out. Feel sorry for the lad Hatch though, hope he recovers.

he must have won half a dozen headers against a bloke six inches taller than him in the first half alone.but nothing came of them

on a night when brownie was very quiet up front i thought porter carried the attack all game.from the 60th minute yes

presumably mr bus was otherwise occupied when porter twice went close just before he won the penalty and then got up and scored it ???he took the penalty very well but until the 60th minute he did little

the aussie hit a screamer from just outside the box that went just over the bar about 2 minutes before the penna after some excellent build up play and a smashing turn.see above answer

as for the teapotting ??? how many times did joel get fouled tonight ? it must have been double figures. the lad gets the living shyte kicked out of him week in and week out.and your point is
his style of play encourages the opposition to foul him as he holds the ball up well

to suggest he couldnt be bothered is stupidity beyond belief. we totally dominated the second half and porter was at the heart of everything good we did. he never stopped looking for the ball all game.i stand by my view that for the first 60 minutes of the game he played below the standard i expect of him

he was poor at the weekend, but tonight he was excellent.in your opinion

you are in a minority of one mr bus.
or mebbe i am voicing an opinion which you disagree with i dont see lots of other posters backing you up
take the rose coloured glasses off
i stand by my comments bbolt

Porter had a great game. Everything attacking wise, went through him and Robson, who is proving his critics wrong big style with yet another good performance.

Brown was practically invisible and Humphreys is yesterday's man. Finished.

Not to mention decelerating at aforementioned bus-stops, from 40mph to 0mph, in 2seconds flat, so that all the passengers fall off the bus

Porter must be the first player picked every week - look at Murray and Forster for Brighton, and between them they don't have the same quality or vision of Porter. I cannot believe Pools look like they are going to just let him go at the end of the season without even trying to attempt to get him to stay another year at least. Who is going to replace a player of his quality at a club like Pools?
