Going out to Droylsden. But I can't as it would be unfair with Liam Hatch so seriously injured.

Blimey, I was keeping an eye on the text commentary and wondered why there had been a gap, nothing mentioned about the injury but it sounds like a really bad one from what's been posted on their boards. Hopefully it won't be as bad as it sounds and he'll be OK.....

this was the initial report on the bbc website :

"Late on, the match was stopped for more than half an hour after Liam Hatch suffered a suspected broken neck in a clash with team-mate Gregg Blundell."

some of us thought it was inappropriate to be laughing about a football match in any context in which a young kid could have ended up dead or paralysed from the neck down.

clearly one or two didnt.

its a matter of personal taste i guess. thankfully it sounds as if the lad is going to make a full recovery.

i certainly hope so.

According to Jeff Winter (he is JeffTheRef, yes?) on the main thread on Darlington Rivals, Hatch was discharged from hospital last night and travelled home with the rest of the team. Wonderful news.

That Hatch is worse than Ronaldo!

all being fair and all things being equal, hopefully we'll get a fair wind and the rub of the green, and we won't end up with egg on our faces. The lads will be professional and give it 110%, and we'll prepare for the game as we always do. The team spirit in the camp is terriffic, and we'll be over the moon to get the win or get them back to our place and we'll be delighted to still be in the hat. There are no easy games these days, and we'll take each game as it comes. The next one is the most important, and we have to try to put on a performance and make it hard for the other team.

Darlow lost. One of their players got injured. I think it's funny as fk that they lost to a non-league lot. I hope their player isn't too badly injured and gets better. The injury doesn't make the result any less funny. Talk about a pack of drama queens trying to camp themselves on what they consider to be the moral high ground.

there may well be an inner circle (notice how i avoided clique there) who have long hair and beards and wear white robes all the time and can perform miracles - these are the 'MORALISTS' - defy them or be non-pc at your peril

you and muttley feel differently, and thats your opinion and you are entitled to it. for what its worth i am not the one demanding someone elses opinion should be deleted by a moderator.

nobody on here has suggested you should wish that darlington had won because their player got injured, and in all honesty you would have to be as thick as two short planks to come to that conclusion.

It's quite good how you can twist things....you should be a Politician!!!!

I never once....that's....ONCE....mentioned anything about their player....so how do you know how I feel when you say....'you and muttley feel differently'???? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Most people who have commented have got it spot on when they say it's a Massive over-reaction!!!! confised confised

But I thank you for your comments in this debate St.ChipFireball MP!!!! clappp
