This 'respect' campaign in the biggest joke ever, why should we respect tossers like him he aren't willing to admit they've made a horrendous decision that has completely spoiled a game? How are we meant to respect assesors when they just close rank at the first sign of trouble!?

'Respect' they can fook right off.

I hope a fan comes on the pitch and plugs him next time he has a game that bad, that's how much respect I've got for Mr Swarbrick.

Its just what I expected. We will never get fairness in this country. Only the great and the good get treat "fairly".

We may as well just get on with it. Like someone else said earlier.....if this had been John Terry........................

Mind you I truly hope we dont have to wait long to get that ref again. Apart from being able to shout abuse at the cheating bung taking tw@t...........I would tell him before the game that the club have put extra camreas in place to analyse his performance.....and that we WILL report him if he cheats again.

Terry did get his card rescinded, for a very clear rugby tackle on jo a couple of months back, they probs give him some money as compensation.

Agreed. If he was a real man he would admit his mistake, rescind the red card and Pools wouldn't have to worry about risking losing Collins for the extra game. Although I wouldn't change my opinion on his performance, I would have more respect for him as a person.

I think Pools should have gone for it myself and probably would have done had we not had Clarky available.

At the time I felt the Terry sending off was correct, it was a cynical, ugly tackle that was a near goalscoring opportunity had he not pulled him down. Collins' was none of them and should have got off easily

I can't believe we haven't appealed. We should have gone ahead with it any way.

Mind you, I think it was abasolutely disgusting that last time we appealed against a red card, the FA increased the punishment.

That's hardly fair, is it !!!!

I saw that "challenge" on ITV on Sunday - no way was that even a foul never mind a RED CARD !!!!!!!!! rage banghead

Doyle. If he put his hand on him at all and gave him the opportunity to go over then the FA would have dismissed the appeal as frivilous. Again.

I don't think they would have called it friviolous, I don't know what grounds they could have called it a straight red. It could have only been that he thought he was the last man but as he wasn't through on goal anyway (the ball was behind him when he fell to the ground because of the way he had headed it) it shouldn't matter. We should have definitely appealled IMO

Does the assessor have any input into the appeal? I'd have thought not.

I'd be interested to see what the ref said Collins had been sent off for. It didn't deem a red because he wasn't through on goal and it wasn't a serious enough foul to consider it serious foul play. This is why the referee should have admitted his mistake and Pools wouldn't have needed to risk appealing.

I have little complaint about his first booking though. If that had been their centre half going through Joel Porter like that I'd have been wanting their player booked.

I'm far to used to seeing Pools lose to even considering being a bad loser. If he had been sent off in the 85th minute and we'd have lost 3-1 then it wouldn't have been the end of the world but we had started relatively brightly and they hadn't caused any problems. Given our recent home form and how many injuries they had I would have fancied us to have won at least a point with all thing being equal but we didn't really get that chance.
