For the first 20 odd minutes we were all over them and I thought it was going to be a repeat of last season. Porter did well to break free but fired straight at the keeper and also had a shot that went over. Kyle had a great chance to score from a header but went wide.

Anyway during this time Kyle was given offside numerous times and some of them seemed iffy. He complained which was fine but he took it too far. Needless to say the linesman gave offside against us for everything and the referee gave everything to Leyton, I thought all three were unprofessional.

Then Leyton completely dominated and it looked like they wanted it more. To say we're meant to be the “comeback kings” I would have thought we'd have had a bit more desire in us. Their most notable chance of this period came when they hit the post after one of their players weaved his way to just inside the box. They also had a freekick that was tipped onto the crossbar by ALB.

In the second half Leyton completely overrun us and had more chances. We had barely any chances and looked like a team that had run out of steam. Ben Clark made a superb sliding block when one of their players was given loads of time to shoot. Then Boyd came on, I knew he was going to score. Then he got the ball outside the box and was not closed down anywhere near quickly enough. By then I already had my hands on my head as I knew he'd score. He did and his shot was deflected in.

By then it was raining heavily and the pitch was waterlogged and it made it very difficult to come back into it...we wouldn't have anyway. Leyton thoroughly deserved their win.

Bright points: Ben Clark played well for us and protected the defence well.
Causes for concern: Kyle was poor, Humphreys had a mare and for the last 60 minutes of the game we never looked like creating anything.

Back to earth with a bump it is then. Our run has ended and I have my doubts whether we'll string another 4 wins in a row for a while...or win away.
