I can chuck 10p in for a cup of tea.

Although in all seriousness, if we have money in the kitty and you were gonna just pay double next week to catch up is there a problem?

Ahhh good thinking

if someone brings a watch, or a stop watch type thing, then you can do every 5 mins you roll a sub, it means everyone gets a fair blast.

It's a bit regimented but it's fair.

No Jason tonight, he's playing in Redcar at 8, I could ask him to get back if we need him, but he's having a few car difficulties so would probably not get to Millhouse until 8:10pm at the earliest.

kev could see that we we're coming back into the game, and after a quick conversation with chris i seen him nod and say "shall i do it now?"

Chris said yes.

Kev then charged in onto chip, eyes fully red at this point, hit the ball off chip, knowing chips ankles like kev does, he knew the ball would spin up and into the nets, thus delaying our comeback, stopping the flow of the game, and giving the advantage back to them

Kev then cheekily told Norm and Johnny to go and get a new ball, knowing the running to the counter would get them out of breath as the walk way is slightly up hill.

Kev had bribed the cashier to keep them talking so norm and johnny would be even more out of breath upon there arrival back onto the field.

I stayed back at mill house last night and checked this weeks cctv tapes, turns out chris and kev had been in the gym every night this week, working on getting that ball into the nets, the ball we finished playing with after the break was a decoy ball kev had planted there on monday night, this ball had the exact correct weight to support the feet and trainers kev and chris had, anyone notice chris had new trainers on? thats why!

Kev also knew that this ball was not suitable to the feet of myself, chip, norm or johnny, thus giving them the advantage and rendering us pretty much out of the game.

Very smart ripper very smart, but i'm onto you!

to be fair kev i was onto you before kick off, i encouraged chip to wear a thicker sock on his right ankle, so the ball would not end up in nets, but you, sensing this, hit the ball off his left ankle.

Very cunning ripper.

monday night i thought you were comfortably the better team mr tax. we only won because we had the extra man, and i did what you did last night and stayed up front all game ramming them in from 6 yards out.

i think its been the same the last few weeks on a wednesday night. the game seems to be quite even for the first 30-40 minutes and then the team with the extra man gets on top.

as i was saying to ripper on the way out its not like it was when we first started and we had a few lads that were unfit. everyone who played last night plays at least once a week and a lot of them are young lads, wheras when we first started the majority were men who wouldnt see 35 again and who hadnt played footie regularly for a number of years.

ive noticed how much fitter everyone is than when we first started. last night was 100 miles an hour throughout.

ideally we would have exactly 10 every week, but id rather have 11 than the 6 or 7 we were getting in the summer. we have a good set of lads now, theres never any unpleasantness, and its a good workout which is all you can ask for really.

Agree with most of that, except the woefully unfair description of my performance on Wednesday night.

It's a bad state of affairs when I can honestly say that was the worst defensive performance I have seen over the last few months!

We're going into our 11th month now and we've still maintained the interest and every week we churn out another good game that normally goes to the wire. The fitness difference compared to the first time we played is unreal I agree.

Wednesday night was hard, against the extra man you just had someone in that little pocket of space that we couldnt get into.

When we first started if one person had an extra man it didn't make that much difference, no disrespect to the people who played with us at the beginning of course, but the standard now is higher and fitness has improved.

Glad it's still going ahead, it's a regular fixture now in my weekly football calender and i look forward to it.

I love you all, expect Chris, i consider you all family, expect chris.
