...I normally have something lined up for afterwards which will distract my dismay if they play shit - a night out, a nice meal etc. Often our lass will cook something nice.

However, the in-laws are stopping for a few days (in a hotel thankfully) and I fully expect them to be loitering with intent after the drive back from a depressing defeat at the Bescot on Saturday tea time. sadx

I remember a few years ago we were absolutely dogshit at Stockport when Turner managed them, losing 1-0. I had a right chewy drive home over dark, icy, Pennine country lanes, and the only thing I had to look forward to was putting my feet up and chilling with a beer. Our lass was under instructions to take them back to the hotel after their tea, but they hung around till about 10pm, giving me chew.

And if father-in-law has tampered with the central heating again in my abscence, I will not hesitate to boot the buggers out.

Well, as long as you don't intend to get Kyle to boot them out as he'd fall over and miss.

shame about having outlaws like that. Mine are great - they like going on the lash more than I do.
